{"id":472,"date":"2025-04-07T23:43:22","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T22:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cyngorcymunedllanrhystud.com\/?p=472"},"modified":"2025-04-07T23:59:03","modified_gmt":"2025-04-07T22:59:03","slug":"cymru-a-diwrnod-ve-80-8-mai-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cyngorcymunedllanrhystud.com\/gb\/cymru-a-diwrnod-ve-80-8-mai-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"WALES &amp; VE DAY 80 &#8211; 8TH MAY 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"265\" height=\"161\" src=\"https:\/\/cyngorcymunedllanrhystud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Screenshot-2025-04-07-235333.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-478\" style=\"width:419px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">VE Day Flag (9.00am)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raising the VE Day 80 Flag at Llanrhystud Memorial Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ring Out in Celebration (6.30pm)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are delighted to confirm Llanrhystud Church, will be taking part in \u2018Ringing Out in Celebration\u2019 of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day 80 &#8211; 8th May 2025, using their involvement to commemorate and pay \u2018tribute\u2019 to the many thousands of those from Wales that so bravely, paid the ultimate sacrifice, fighting for the freedom we all enjoy today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Fish and Chips&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the fact that Fish and Chips &#8211; Britain\u2019s favourite dish, was not rationed by Prime Minister Churchill during the whole of WWII, we also want to use this occasion to continue paying tribute to the brave fishermen who fished the seas and the farmers and land girls who toiled in the fields, by encouraging the eating of Fish and Chips throughout the day, as part of these VE Day 80 celebrations on 8th May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Congregate at Llanrhystud Memorial Hall (9.00pm)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">VE Day 80 Light Lamp of Peace, Tribute and Song (9.30pm)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We invite you all to come together at this time, and sing the wonderful and uplifting British patriotic hymn &#8211; \u2018I Vow To Thee My Country\u2019.
